Finding Nemo director Andrew Stanton has signed a deal to make the sequel to the hugely popular Pixar movie.
Nemo is the second-highest-grossing movie in Pixar's history behind Toy Story 3.
Stanton won two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature for Finding Nemo and WALL-E.
He was also nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Original Screenplay for both those films and Toy Story, and Best Adapted Screenplay for Toy Story 3.
Stanton’s most recent film was John Carter, his first foray into live action moviemaking. Unfortunately, it proved to be a major flop at the box office.
Little is known about the plot of the Nemo sequel, although Deadline reports that executives at both Pixar and Disney are thrilled with Stanton's concept.
