Tulisa Contostavlos has hit back at claims that she is manufactured on Twitter.

The Young singer responded to a user who claimed that she was a “manufactured pop idol” following reports that she used a gang gesture in a new music video.

Taking to their Twitter page yesterday a user wrote: "@officialtulisa proper thinks she's a gangsta init?. Flinging gang signs about like she ain't a manufactured pop idol #wherearetherealists?"

However, Tulisa was quick to hit back at the claims saying: "Aaaahaaaa sorry but I had 2 bring this up...some1 just called me MANUFACTURED..any1 care 2 enlighten this bi*ch #hilarious"

The former N-Dubz singer issued a statement last week insisting that the hand gesture represented her hometown of Camden with the letter "C" sign.
