The Voice lost out in the ratings war to Britain's Got Talent over the weekend after viewers were apparently 'disappointed' to discover that the results show on Sunday was pre-recorded.
With the judges wearing the same clothes as they were on Saturday, it didn't take long for viewers to realise that the show wasn't actually live - despite host Holly Willoughby referring to Saturday's show as "last night".
One viewer tweeted: "Guess The Voice is recorded tonight as will.i.am tweeted last night he was flying to Washington?! And Holly's in the same dress!"
Things were made worse by will.i.am, who sent out a sneaky tweet about getting ready to make a 'difficult decision' before the show aired.
He told his followers: "Tonight is going to be a difficult decision for me...I hate the idea of sending talented people home...#thevoiceuk"
Almost a million viewers decided to switch over to BGT, causing a huge drop in ratings for the BBC show and a surge for Simon Cowell's show.
