Shock-hardened EastEnders fans have been told they will see an even nastier Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) as part of the Heather Trott (Cheryl Fergison) exit storyline this month.
Warning: major spoiler alert!
The Daily Star reports that Phil son's Ben (Joshua Pascoe) confronts Heather and accuses her of tipping off the police after he is arrested for perverting the course of justice.
During the argument, Ben kills Heather and then runs to Phil for help.
Father and son ransack Heather's home to make it look like a burglary gone wrong.
They then allow Heather's best friend Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) to go over to the house to patch things up with Heather following an earlier argument.
She finds Heather and runs out to raise the alarm, with Phil accompanying Shirley back to the house and then comforting her as paramedics try to revive Heather.
An EastEnders source said: "In the days before her death Heather falls out with practically everyone.
"[Heather's fiancé] Andrew (Ricky Grover) makes her choose either him or Shirley and she chooses him.
"When Shirley goes to see Heather it's to make things up with her. Sadly, she never gets the chance."
With Andrew nowhere to be found, have Ben and Phil got away with murder?
You can watch the drama unfold on BBC One and RTÉ One on Thursday March 22.
