Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has said the band regret naming their recent album 'Mylo Xyloto'.

Speaking to Good Morning America, Martin said "It's just something that we thought looked really good but everywhere we go around the world people pronounce it in the most crazy ways".

He added that the title is "two words that you couldn't even Google" and the band are really "beginning to regret it now"

Despite the name choice the album, which was released last October, went No.1 in 19 countries, including Ireland.

Martin explained "The title doesn't have any other meaning. I think we're a band with a lot of history now so it's nice to come up with something that doesn't have any history at all".

Last week, upon winning their latest Brit Award for Best British Group, Martin downplayed their win by saying they only won because no other British band were available. He said "Blur have gone, Pulp have gone, Take That are on holiday, we're the only British band left on the pitch! But we'll take that."
