The latest tribute to the recently-deceased Apple boss Steve Jobs will be a foot-high plastic facsimile of the man himself.

Chinese toy company In Icons and Hong Kong-based manufacturer Dragon In Dreams have crafted an apparently life-like, 12-inch-tall action figure of the man responsible for modern must-haves the iPod, MacBook and iPad.

The unauthorised figure is scheduled to go on sale next month in the United States for a retail price of $99, which is about the same cost Stateside as two iPod Shuffles or an Apple TV unit.

According to Entertainment Weekly, commentators are arguing that the action figure is ‘creepy’ because of its ultra-realistic attention to detail.
