While millions of fans thought that Gran Torino would be Clint Eastwood's last role as an actor, it is reported that the 81-year-old is in talks to star in a new baseball drama, Trouble with the Curve.

Deadline.com says the film tells the story of a baseball scout who is losing his sight and goes on a final road trip to Atlanta with his daughter to look at a young player.

Trouble with the Curve will mark the directorial debut of Eastwood's longtime partner at Malpaso Productions, Robert Lorenz.

Eastwood's next project as a director was to have been his Beyoncé Knowles-starring remake of A Star is Born, but the singer's pregnancy has led to the film being postponed.
