Olivia Wilde has been cast to play a supermodel in Ron Howard's upcoming Formula One film Rush.

Deadline reports that the Tron star will play the lead female role of Suzy Miller in the movie about the rivalry between 1970s' racers Niki Lauda (Daniel Bruhl) and James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth).

Miller was married to racing driver Hunt in 1974 but filed for divorce after she became involved with Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor's ex-husband.

It is reported that director Howard hopes to recruit Russell Crowe, who he worked with on A Beautiful Mind, to play the small role of Burton in the film.
