Leona Lewis is "really happy" with her new boyfriend, and says that emotion, and the unhappier break-up with long-term boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa both provide the mix of emotions on her new album.
The Bleeding Love hitmaker has enjoyed showing German backing dancer Dennis Jauch around her home town of Hackney, east London, and says the pair are having a lot of fun together.
Speaking about her new beau Leona said: "He's been staying with me in Hackney and he's met all my family. I still have my flat here, so when I'm not working I'm back home near my mum and dad."
She added: "My mum always says she just wants me to be happy and I really am at the moment. We're having a lot of fun."
Leona began dating Dennis soon after splitting from long-term boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa and she admits the upheaval in her personal life will be reflected in her next album.
In a recent interview with Reveal magazine she said: "I wanted to put my heart into my lyrics, so most of my new album has a darker tone to it. It's not just about my ex, or any one person. It's a mix of emotions. "
She further stated: "But it's not all sad. I'm in a really happy place right now, so there are some upbeat tracks on there too."
