Pippa Middleton has reportedly been offered a five-figure sum to appear on Strictly Come Dancing.

BBC One bosses are willing to go to "any lengths" to have her appear on the upcoming series of the celebrity dancing show, reports The Sun.

Middleton shot to worldwide fame as her sister Kate's wedding to Prince William last April, where she was the maid of honour.

A BBC insider told the newspaper: "Pippa has become almost as famous as Kate since the wedding. It would be a huge coup to get her and give the show global appeal."

A friend added to the newspaper that she would have to consider the offer carefully, as she would not like to "embarrass" her sister.

"She's a bit overwhelmed by all the attention and is considering her next move very carefully. She is conscious that her sister is going to be queen one day and is determined not to do anything embarrassing.

"But she loves Strictly and if she was sure her appearance would be handled correctly she'd be keen to slip into sequins."
