‘Mad Men’ actor Jon Hamm has admitted that he thinks the show should end after the seventh series.

The series which also stars Christina Hendricks and January Jones has recently been renewed for another three series and Hamm, who plays Don Draper in the hit programme, believes it’ll have run its course by then.

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, he said: "I think it should end. Everything should end. I was a big fan of The Office over here because it ended.

"We're going to start the fifth series here, I think late July or August. I'll be directing the first episode."

"I'm 40, which is ridiculously old in Hollywood. I mean, come on, I'm not in Twilight. I could play their grandfather or something.

"It's crazy that this has happened. I'm a very, very lucky human being."
