Actress Helena Bonham Carter has spoken of the psychological benefits of housework in a new interview.

The actress told the Radio Times that she had "discovered the therapy of cleaning".

Bonham Carter said she now understood that "if you put your house in order it gets your head in order as well".

The star, who will be seen on Irish cinema screens in 'The King's Speech' in January, said acting also allowed her to "dream every day, scream, and get lots of tensions out".
