Bruce Forsyth is expected to retire as the host of 'Strictly Come Dancing' next year, according to reports.

The Sun reported that the 82-year-old, who has already stepped down from the Sunday night results show this series to lessen his workload, appeared to be showing signs of fatigue during this weekend's grand final.

A source said: "Bruce has had an amazing time, but the strain is starting to show. He fell over a few of his autocue lines during the final and was a bit crabby during his half-time song.

"Everyone expects him to retire now the final is done and nobody would blame him for wanting to put his feet up."

Last month, John Barrowman was tipped as the frontrunner to succeed Forsyth as the host of the show.
