Amy Adams has reportedly said that she is hoping to keep her upcoming wedding a low-key affair.

According to ContactMusic, the two-time Oscar nominee admitted that the idea of a star-studded, lavish ceremony had "never been my fantasy".

She added: "After 'Enchanted', the idea of being in a big, white dress is not as exciting as one would think."

The 'Doubt' and 'Junebug' star, who became engaged to actor boyfriend Darren Le Gallo last year, said: "I have a feeling that one day we will wake up and decide to get married and we'll just go off and do it. Actually I would like a wedding that was just over. Isn't that unromantic?"

"There is so much emphasis on having the perfect wedding and I think that's great if it's something you have fantasised about your whole life, but that's never been my fantasy."
