Singer Chris Brown has taken his name off the shortlist for Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards in the US because of the assault charge against him.
His spokesperson said: "Chris very much appreciates the support of his fans and the honour they have paid him in the way of nominations for favourite male singer and favourite song".
According to the BBC, Nickelodeon had received calls from parents asking for Brown to be removed from the shortlist.
The 19-year-old was arrested in Los Angeles last month after a row with his pop star girlfriend Rihanna.
Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards will take place on 28 March.
