The nominees have been announced for the fourth annual Choice Music Prize, the award which recognises the Best Irish Album of the Year.

The shortlist of 10 artists has been chosen by a panel of 12 Irish music media professionals.

The 10 nominees are:

Mick Flannery 'White Lies'
Halfset 'Another Way of Being There'
Lisa Hannigan 'Sea Sew'
David Holmes 'The Holy Pictures'
Jape 'Ritual'
Messiah J & the Expert 'From the Word Go'
Oppenheimer 'Take the Whole Mid-Range and Boost It'
RSAG 'Organic Sampler'
The Script 'The Script'

The winner will be announced at a special event in Vicar Street on Wednesday, 4 March.

Tickets for the show go on sale on Monday 19 January, priced €27.

Full details of the nominees who will be playing at the ceremony will be announced later this month.

The winning act will receive €10,000 in prize money and a specially-commissioned award.
