Amy Adams is in negotiations to star in 'Leap Year', a romantic comedy set in Ireland.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar nominee will play a woman who travels to Dublin to propose to her boyfriend on a leap day, February 29.
An old Irish tradition decrees that if a man is proposed to on that day he has to say yes.
However when bad weather derails her trip, she enlists the help of a surly Irish innkeeper to make an unexpected cross-country trek to pull off the perfect proposal in time.
The duo behind 'Made of Honor', Harry Elfont and Deb Kaplan, wrote the screenplay for 'Leap Year', which is due to start shooting in February.
The 'Junebug' star will next appear opposite Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman in 'Doubt', based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning play.
