'Fringe', the new series from 'Lost' creator JJ Abrams, has been extended for a full season.
Fox in the US has ordered an additional nine episodes of the series.
Commenting, Kevin Reilly, President of Entertainment for Fox, said: "We're having a blast working on this show with this great team of producers and amazing cast."
He continued: "The series has really taken off creatively, and it's exciting to see that the audience is responding. We believe this is the first full season of many years to come."
'Fringe' is the Number One new primetime series on US television with adults aged 18-49, adults aged 18-34 and teenagers.
It tells the story of a young FBI agent who teams up with an institutionalised scientist to investigate paranormal phenomena and stars Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, Lance Reddick, Kirk Acevedo, Blair Brown and Jasika Nicole.
