The hit animated comedy 'Family Guy' is to pay tribute to 'Star Wars' with an hour-long episode that retells the story of the first film, 'Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope'.
Variety reports that Lucasfilm has given the green light for the episode which will see the Griffin family acting out all the major scenes from the film.
Father Peter Griffin will play Han Solo; wife Lois will play Princess Leia; baby Stewie will play Darth Vader; Brian the dog will play Chewbacca and son Chris will play Luke.
Cleveland and Quagmire will play R2-D2 and C-3PO while Herbert will play Obi-Wan Kenobi.
In the episode the Griffin family find themselves stuck at home during a powercut, prompting Peter to retell the 'Star Wars' story.
'Family Guy' creator Seth MacFarlane is a huge 'Star Wars' fan and was instrumental in getting Lucasfilm to agree to the episode.
