Feuding television stars Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh have hugged and made up during a recording of 'This Is Your Life'.

The pair previously exchanged insults after Walsh claimed that Cowell had axed him from 'The X Factor' judging panel without telling him.

Walsh said: "I was axed from 'The X Factor', stabbed in the back. The buck stops with Simon. He hires and he fires."

However, Walsh appeared on the set of 'This Is Your Life' for the presentation of the Big Red Book to Cowell.

Before hugging Walsh, Cowell said: "I humbly offer a grovelling apology Louis."

Walsh then said: "Listen, honestly, he's the best. He's a really good guy and we've had amazing success with our artists (including Westlife and Shayne Ward) so far. And we're going to have a lot more with our records."

Walsh said later: "All is forgiven. Forgiven but not forgotten", but Cowell insisted: "Let's just say forgiven, alright?". Walsh replied: "Whatever".

Cowell's 'This Is Your Life' is due to be screened Saturday 2 June on ITV.
