A new documentary from Hollywood film director James Cameron claims that Jesus had a son named Judah and was buried alongside Mary Magdalene.

'The Lost Tomb of Christ' focuses on a tomb that was found near Jerusalem in 1980. The documentary producers say that it belonged to Jesus and his family.

Despite attacks by archaeologists and theologians the Oscar-winning director of 'Titanic' is confident, saying that statistical tests and DNA analysis backed up his theory.

At a news conference in New York, Cameron said: "We've done our homework; we've made the case; and now it's time for the debate to begin."

'The Lost Tomb of Christ' will be broadcast on the Discovery Channel on 4 March.
