Theatre impresario Andrew Lloyd Webber has angrily hit back at claims that talent show 'How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? ' was fixed.
He told BBC One's Breakfast show that he is considering taking legal action over newspaper reports that the winner, Connie Fisher, had been recording songs before the final of the programme.
Fisher is now in rehearsals to play Maria in a new West End production of 'The Sound of Music'.
Lloyd Webber said that she had been working on recordings for her own album, but had not done any work for 'The Sound Of Music' before she appeared on the reality show.
He said: "I don't see how I can fix a show like the Maria programme. It's completely a public vote. I didn't even know until three minutes before the end of the show that Connie had won it."
