Television duo Ant and Dec have taken out insurance in case one of them dies, breaking up the long-running double-act.

The presenters, who have worked on television together since starring in 'Byker Grove' as teenagers, would be in line for a "massive payout" if one of them died.

Speaking to Radio Times magazine, Declan Donnelly said: "I just know that if he (Ant) kicks the bucket, I get a massive payout."

When asked how much, he said: "I don't know (how much). We have people who look after that."

His on-screen partner Ant McPartlin joked: "I don't think we're insured if we fall out, though."
