A second date has been added to Hal Willner's 'Came So Far For Beauty: An Evening of Leonard Cohen Songs', which will take place in the Point Theatre in October as part of this year's Dublin Theatre Festival.
The event will now take place on Thursday 5 October as well as Wednesday 4 October.
Curated by music producer Hal Willner, a total of 25 singers and musicians will perform a selection of Cohen's songs.
The line-up includes Lou Reed, The Handsome Family, Beth Orton, Gavin Friday, Nick Cave, Laurie Anderson and cult music hero Mary Margaret O'Hara.
'Came So Far For Beauty' was first performed in Brooklyn NY in 2003 when Willner pulled together an extraordinary cast of performers to work together on a collaborative show as a tribute to Leonard Cohen.
The show was reprised a year later in Brighton, England.
2005 saw it in the Sydney Opera House and now it plays two nights in Dublin as part of the Dublin International Theatre Festival in October.
Tickets for 'Came So Far For Beauty' cost €39.50/€49.25/€60/€70 and are available from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.
