'Scrubs' star Zach Braff is reported to be the new frontrunner to star in a remake of 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty'.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Owen Wilson had been attached to the film but withdrew earlier this month because a female lead had not been cast.

Scarlett Johansson was a frontrunner after screen-testing with Wilson earlier this month, but a deal was never completed.

The 'Lost in Translation' star is said to be still interested in the project.
