Simon Cowell vowed today that the 'X Factor' judges would not be letting their egos get in the way of the competition in the upcoming series.
Speaking at the launch of the new series of the television talent show, Cowell said: "Last time we let our egos get in the way of the contestants."
"Of course we're going to be passionate about the artists but let's not let our egos get in the way of people entering the show," he said.
Nearly 75,000 people have entered this year's competition, including a dairy farmer who dresses in drag and a teenager with a voice which has been compared to Whitney Houston's.
Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh will all be returning as judges for the new series of the show, which was won by Steve Brookstein last year.
