Australian actress Jacinda Barrett will appear opposite 'Scrubs' star Zach Braff in the upcoming film 'The Last Kiss'.

The Hollywood Reporter says that the film is a remake of the 2001 Italian film 'L'Ultimo bacio' and follows a group of 30-year-olds trying to come to terms with adulthood.

Barrett, whose credits include 'Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason' and the recent 'Ladder 49', is replacing Rachel McAdams ('Mean Girls', 'The Notebook') on the movie, who was unable to star due to scheduling conflicts.

Braff will soon be seen on Irish cinema screens in his directorial film debut 'Garden State'; it is scheduled to open later in the spring.
