OutKast and Jay-Z were the big winners at the MTV Video Music Awards in Miami last night, with four awards each.

OutKast's 'Hey Ya!' was named Video of the Year and also won the awards for Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Special Effects in a Video and Best Art Direction.

Jay-Z's '99 Problems' took the awards for Best Rap Video, Best Direction, Best Cinematography and Best Editing.

Franz Ferdinand won the Breakthrough Video award for 'Take Me Out', while Maroon 5 won the Best New Artist in a Video award for 'This Love'.

There were also wins for Beyoncé, Usher, Alicia Keys and No Doubt.
