With over 100,000 due to attend their Phoenix Park show on Saturday 12 June, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are breaking Irish concert attendance records.

It is now estimated that the band will have played to over 400,000 people in four years by next weekend, following their appearances at Slane in 2001 and 2003 and Lansdowne Road in 2002.

The Hot House Flowers have also been added to the bill of next Saturday's gig, and will take the stage at 2pm, with gates open at 1pm.
