Despite persistent rumours that they are to split, OutKast frontman Big Boi has told MTV that the duo will release two new albums and star together in a movie.

Big Boi is going on tour without partner Andre 3000, but said that they were working together on a film for cable channel HBO, a soundtrack for the movie and a new OutKast album.

The rapper said that the film, set during the Prohibition era, combined action, adventure and romance, and he would play the owner of a club, with Andre 3000 playing the son of a mortician.

Big Boi said that OutKast planned to release the follow-up to the acclaimed 'Speakerboxxx/The Love Below' in November, and had reunited with original production team Organized Noize for the album.
