Ash are to meet 'Star Wars' mogul George Lucas at his Skywalker Ranch in the US next month.

NME.com reports that the band will discuss projects with Lucas after they play the Coachella festival in California.

Speaking to NME, Ash frontman Tim Wheeler said: "It's weird, this year a lot of our dreams seem to be coming true."

"We’re getting to go to Skywalker Ranch, we've been recording where Nirvana made 'Nevermind' and Brian Robertson from Thin Lizzy played guitar with us onstage. It's been great."

Ash's new album, 'Meltdown', will be released on 17 May.
