A judge has thrown out an arrest warrant for singer Courtney Love after she appeared for a court hearing.

The warrant was issued last week after Love failed to appear for a hearing involving charges of illegal possession of prescription drugs.

Her lawyer said Love could not make it then because of unspecified "security" reasons.

At her court appearance on Tuesday, Love agreed to return to court on March 16 for a preliminary hearing.

Love is the lead singer of the group Hole and widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. She also has appeared in such movies as 'The People vs Larry Flynt' and 'Man on the Moon.'
