Avril Lavigne has been working with former Evanescence guitarist and songwriter Ben Moody to write songs for her new album.
Moody quit Evanescence last October after co-writing their break-through album 'Fallen'.
According to MTV.com, he volunteered his service to Lavigne's A&R rep.
Lavigne's guitarist Evan Taubenfeld and Canadian singer/pianist Chantal Kreviazuk are also working with the 19-year-old pop star on the follow-up to her hit album 'Let Go'.
The new LP is expected to be released in late Spring.
