The Irish Embassy in London threw a party last night for Westlife as the boyband celebrated their five-year anniversary.

The black tie event also marked the launch of their new album, 'Turnaround' and the boys performed five songs from the album including 'Hey Whatever' and 'Mandy'.

Martine McCutcheon presented Westlife with a Guinness World Record award for the most singles to debut at number one on the UK chart.

Irish Ambassador Daithi O'Ceallaigh hosted the party at the Irish Embassy in Grosvenor Square, replacing the red carpet with a green one for the evening.

O'Ceallaigh said that Ireland owed a huge debt to the band, adding "Westlife are a huge act and their success benefits our country."
