Pierce Brosnan is to be the special guest at this year's Galway Film Fleadh.

The actor, best known for playing James Bond, will present the annual Actor's Masterclass, which aims to teach aspiring Irish actors how the film industry works.

He will also give a public interview, where visitors to the Fleadh can hear the first-hand story of how the Navan man shot to fame.

Brosnan, who has balanced his career as the world famous spy with a number of small, independent films, most recently appeared in 'Evelyn', a true story set in 1950s Ireland.

The 15th Galway Film Fleadh will take place from Tuesday 8 to Sunday 13 July and will allow audiences to see dozens of features, documentaries and shorts from around the world, as well as upcoming Irish films.
