Andrew Lloyd-Webber received a standing ovation for his new musical 'Bombay Dreams' after its London opening at the Victoria Apollo last night.

The musical is set in the world of the Bombay film industry and has been in production for three years, with a reported budget of £4.5m.

Joining Lloyd-Webber on the creative team for 'Bombay Dreams' were Shekhar Kapur, the Oscar-nominated director of 'Elizabeth' who was involved in devising the production, and composer AR Rahman, who has scored over 50 'Bollywood' movies.
