'Planet of the Apes' and 'Sleepy Hollow' director Tim Burton has signed on to helm a new adventure movie 'Big Fish'.
Adapted from the Daniel Wallace novel of the same name, the film tells the story of master spoofer Edward Bloom, who has regaled his son William with tall stories since childhood, but is now dying of cancer.
In a bid to get to the truth of his Dad's life, the adult William returns home.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Stephen Spielberg had been attached to 'Big Fish' at one stage but went on to make the upcoming 'Minority Report' instead.
Shooting on 'Big Fish' is set to begin this autumn.
