Emma Bunton is in the middle of a career crisis, after figures showed her album, 'A Girl Like Me', had sold only 40,000 copies.

Those are low figures compared with bandmate Mel C's album 'Northern Star', which has sold 2.5 million.

A spokesperson for Bunton defended her saying: "Sometimes it can take three or four months for an album to start racking up big sales."

Baby Spice will be looking to put her troubles behind her on August 19, when she plays Marlay Park in Rathfarnham, as part of FM 104's Big Day Out.
