Film bosses have admitted 'Planet of The Apes' is behind schedule, less than a fortnight before it's due to be released in America.

A screening for cinema chains has been postponed and the press junket, where the actors and director talk to the press, will take place just a week before the film is released.

Twentieth Century Fox vice chairman Bob Harper said the film is about three or four days behind schedule, mainly because of post-production special-effects work.
