RICHNESS OF CHANGE - RTÉ One, throughout 7-11 April
Richness of Change is a series of twelve one-minute films documenting the diversity of origin, voice and perspective amongst Ireland's immigrant population. Shot in vox-pop style, The Richness of Change offers a snapshot of contemporary Ireland, documenting the stories of twelve individual immigrants to Ireland.
Johannesburg-born Floyd Jackson works with Dublin Bus and now marshals buses on Eden Quay. Summy Kasing came to Ireland from Hong Kong as a student over 20 years ago and runs the Chinese Irish Cultural Academy on Parnell Square. Leo Oosterweghel, originally from Holland, is director of Dublin Zoo and has travelled the world working in different zoos. These are just three stories amongst twelve which will be broadcast across this week.
The series of short films was made in partnership with the Immigrant Council of Ireland, The Forum on Migration and Communication (FOMOCS) and journalist, Colin Murphy
