Report on France’s progress

Published: 24 September 1914

A communique issued today from the Press Association has given details of the French troops’ progress. It states that French troops have advanced in the North and maintained itself there, notwithstanding vigorous attacks by the enemy, who continue to keep large forces firmly entrenched in the region.

In the north-east there is no change, particularly in Reims, as the enemies continue their attacks with remarkable fierceness.
