Belgium receive declaration of war from Austria

The Belgian government received the war declaration issued by the Austro-Hungarian government today. Austria declared war on the 22 August.

Mr Asquith, Mr Bonar Law and Mr John Redmond all paid tribute to Belgium’s heroism in the House of Commons today since the German occupation which began on 4 August.
