Titanic disaster to be filmed

Published: 18 November 1913

It is reported that an American company will spend £10,000 to build an scale model of the Titanic, some 1,000 feet in length. The replica, which will have a crew of 200, and carry 300 passengers, will sail into open water where the whole sinking of the vessel will filmed.

The film, which will show how the Titanic sank, the battles over the lifeboats, and the struggles of passengers and crew to stay alive, will then be sold to picture houses around the world where it is believed the re-enactment will find a ready audience.
