Annual puppy show held in Naas

Published: 20 August 1913

The annual Kildare Hunt Puppy Show took place at Naas today. A large crowd from the hunting community as well as supporters from the fashionable set was in attendance. There was a large entry of dogs, and Mr Grogan and Commander Forbes acted as judges. For each decision they could not agree on a winner, given the high quality of the entries, and each time had to seek advice from a referee. The winning dog, named Roysterer, was walked by Major Elliott Lockheart and Colonel Crichton, while the winning bitch, Songstress, was walked by Major Farnan, RFA.
