Prime Minister and Speaker of South Australian Parliament arrive in Cork

En route to London, where he will meet King George V, the Premier of South Australia, Archibald Peake, is visiting Cork. Mr Peake attended a luncheon, hosted by the Lord Mayor of Cork, at the Imperial Hotel. In a short speech, Mr Peake stressed his view that the majority of Australians supported Ireland’s desire for freedom. He stated that he was sorry that he could not travel to Ulster to tell the Unionists that they were wrong about home rule. Mr Peake will spend a few days touring the southern counties and is expected to visit Killarney tomorrow.
