Louth win Leinster Football Semi-Final

Published: 17 August 1913

At the Young Ireland grounds in Dundalk today, Louth defeated Meath 2-3 to 0-2 in the semi-final of the Leinster Football Championship. The good weather ensured a good crowd was in attendance, and a number of railway specials brought a large following from Meath. The game unfortunately was a poor one, with too many fouls in evidence, and very little in the way of footballing skill to enjoy. Meath attacked frequently, but their finishing was poor and the Louth defence strong. Louth missed many chances, and should have won by a wider margin. The Louth goals were scored by Harlin and Morgan.
