James Connolly released from prison

It has emerged that the union leader, James Connolly, has been released from prison. A doctor who was examining him as he entered his second week of hunger strike alerted prison authorities to his rapidly deteriorating condition, and he has been freed with immediate effect to recuperate in the home of Countess Markievicz on Leinster Road, Rathmines.
