Irish Boy Sets World Record and Climbs 23 Yards up a Vertical Rope

In today’s gymnastics clash between Belfast CPA and Dublin’s St Francis Xavier’s, at the Sackville Hall, the Belfast team won by a narrow margin. The competition will be remembered though for the feat of one of the Dublin team, Mr Dineen, who created not only an Irish, but also a world record, for climbing the vertical rope. While his nearest competitor managed a highly respectable climb of 18 yards, Dineen climbed to a height of 23 yards.
