Eleven Dunboyne Men Charged With Intimidation

In the Dunboyne court today, eleven local men were charged and sent for trial for intimidation. The case relates to the property named Castle Farm, which was recently acquired by the Estates Commissioners, who had then passed ownership to a Mr Sanders. Locals felt that the Commissioners had acted improperly, and when James Kelly, a man employed  by Sanders, appeared in Dunboyne, he was verbally abused and attacked with stones by one of the accused men.
