Bridge Site to be Reconsidered for Gallery

It has been announced that Dublin Corporation will reconsider the proposal to locate the new Municipal Gallery on a bridge spanning the Liffey. The plan, put forward by the well known architect, Edwin Lutyens, will now be revised and adapted so that it can accommodate vehicular traffic. Mr Lutyens' proposal and design are contentious, and there has also been criticism that the design competition excluded any Irish architects as they were not invited to take part.
